ABOUT ME
I am a game programmer based in Bristol, UK, with 6 years of industry experience. I have developed numerous projects in that time, including the BAFTA-nominated tactical deckbuilding rogue-like, Fights in Tight Spaces. As a gamer myself, I am particularly inspired by games such as Halo, The Legend of Zelda, Half-Life, Ori and the Blind Forest, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
I was drawn to game development by a desire to create worlds and tell stories, to realise them to their fullest extent and to share them with the world. This aspiration has driven me to be a passionate and varied creator.
I have a great love of writing. In 2020 I published my debut novel with Fantastic Books Publishing: The Reality Exchange. I'm very interested in continuing my journey in long-form literature and plan to follow this book with a sequel.
I enjoy tabletop roleplaying games and have spent a great deal of time and effort creating worlds and characters to share with others, both as a player and as a game master.

I am also a self-taught digital artist and have been practicing for over a decade. I have recently sought professional tuition to develop my skills even further. You can find a selection of my work in the Gallery.
I was once a very active member in the community around Elite: Dangerous by Frontier Developments, and in that time I attended multiple conventions as a guest. Frontier invited me to be a community ambassador at EGX 2015 and paid for my attendance for the full 4-day event. I introduced hundreds of people to Elite's PvP arena mode every day and I livestreamed the game from the event as well. I was also invited to Lavecon and FantastiCon, community-hosted events built around Elite: Dangerous. I gave a speech at the first FantastiCon and was a guest on a selection of panels at later events. I launched my novel at the virtual FantastiCon in 2020.

I care greatly for community and charitable causes. I ran three livestreaming events over consecutive years and raised a total of £4,567.96 (including gift-aid) for various charities: £2,694.17 for Cancer Research UK, £1,116.29 for NASS (National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society) and £757.50 for Special Effect. The first in that list earned me an award for being in the top 5% of fundraisers on JustGiving in 2015.
In addition to my fundraising endeavours, 10% of the profits from my book go to Black Lives Matter. This was inspired by acts of racial prejudice occurring in America, in particular in the year of the book's release.
